Course Description: Cement tees, INNOVA permanent baskets. This description is for the FRONT NINE ONLY, although there is also a back nine on a hill behind the park. Located in Pendleton Community Park (aka McKay Park), the front nine are on the fairly flat area of the park itself, and obstacles include McKay Creek (crossed 2-3 times, depending on if alternate tee sites and baskets are used), pedestrians/park-goers, trees of various sizes, a playground around hole 7, and strong winds (either persistent up to about 10mph, or gusting around 20mph on windy days). When the creek has risen too high, there may also be some standing water around the park, particularly around hole 7.
Course Location: From I-84, take exit 209 Pendleton and go up and over the hill (Southgate). Take a right in front of Les Schwab (SW Quinney), and follow the road down and around. Take the SECOND RIGHT AT THE BOTTOM (in front of McKay Creek Estates), and take a right at the stop sign at the corner of the Free Methodist church and McKay School. The park's parking lot is at the end of the road, and the first hole and map of the course are there as well.
